This is awesome! my boyfriend and I actually own a boiga dendrophilia (Mangrove snake), she's quite a difficult child at times. I never thought I'd see a design based on a boiga, let alone one this stunning.

Do you keep any snakes?

Oh, no kidding? They're really neat buggers! I'd like to experience them in the future, since I haven't managed to even handle one yet.
This fellow here only have the vaguest of resemblances, but thank you so much!
I keep a few ball pythons, but am more of a gecko and skink person myself! Shinglebacks being the ultimate dream, but man, those Australian species are mostly hard to gettt.

The adults are gorgeous, I’ll have to build her a display vivarium when she gets big enough They’re way more sensitive than any other snake I’ve felt with. I’m more of a colubrid person myself, I have mostly corns snakes (I got my first ever clutches of eggs in the incubator right now! I’m so excited!) but I’d like to get into breeding Asian rat snakes later, so far all I have of those is a male Riddley’s racer. I’m not sure I want to breed Boiga though because the babies are so hard to get started.

Skinks are awesome! I especially like the ones that are bred for high oranges and yellows. I had to google the shingle backs and they look really cool X3

rare imports are a struggle to get ahold of sometimes, especially if you want captive bred babies. Do you breed any of your reptiles?

Oh, corns were actually my first snake! I would love to own a couple of fancier morphs in the future. I wish you the best of luck with your clutch!
Ridley's are the cave dwelling rat snakes? Or are they a different species? Either way, they seem to be gaining some traction in the market now, I'd love to see what kind of crazy morphs people might be able to make! Do they do well with handling?
Do Boiga just have a hard time starting on food, or are they really picky about their environmental conditions, too? Either way, might be worth a shot! Not enough people work with them, and you only really learn through trial and error, ultimately.

I have some fire skink eggs cooking now, hopefully in about a month they should be hatching! I'm excited since it's my very first clutch ever as well!
In the future me and my partner do want to dip into a good few other projects, we did want to try for some BP babies this year though, but we shall see. Personally, aside from shinglebacks, I would like to breed abronia, monkey tails, leachies and maybe, if I somehow am able to, earless monitors. I don't even know, the more you think about projects, the more you scratch your chin, and start to wonder what else might be exciting to get into.......herps are a horribly obsessive hobby.

The palmetto corns are gorgeous but they need to come down in price before I’ll get one XD
thank you, my eggs are looking really good so far
Riddly’s and Cave dwelling rats are the same thing, a subspecies of Taiwan beauty snake. I’d love to see them with high oranges and yellows bred into them! My boy is pretty mean when I first get him out, but his teeth don’t even feel like anything when he bites. Once he stops flailing from initial picking him up though he’s calm enough I can just sit on the couch with him. He did get away from me though and found a hole that lead into the walls of my trailer and I accidentally injured him pretty badly getting him out, I have to give him antibiotics shots now from the vet, I feel horrible I let that happen...

Thats true about boiga, they are really difficult to get started because the newborns eat baby birds naturally. I currently force feed ours mouse tails because their metabolisms are too fast to let them go without eating. She was eating pinkies before we got her but just the stress of the move caused her to stop. I keep tweaking things trying to get her environment “just right” but maybe that stresses her too. I’ve read that it’s common to have to raise Boiga hatchlings on forced mouse tails until they get bigger, then they get less picky. They like their surroundings completely dark and with 70-80 percent humidity.

I hope everything goes well with your babies Skinks certainly have been getting a lot more popular the past couple years.

I know what you mean, like they say, “I have a reptile dysfunction.” So true.
