Nice job, she looks great I've always had a crush on her, I liked her peter Parker type issues wanting to be famous, but seems to be pulled in to a super heroes life...

This is my version of Dazzler as well, also from the X-Men arcade game and Pryde of the X-Men cartoon. www.youtube.com/watch?v=S2T2O0…

Oh yes - I certainly love Pryde of the X-Men. Such a shame that more were not made.

Two things:
1. You nailed the costume (and or course, Rogue would later steal that jacket, but can you blame her?) While I don't know if most superheroines can function in heels, they're actually easier to fight in than rollerskates.
2. Sorry, but while this is the costume I first met her in, I'm still a bigger fan of her face-paint/roller skate phase.
Which model did you use for Dazzler herself?

I may go back and try to make the face paint and roller skate outfit, even though it takes camp to a new level.
Dazzler here is based on good old Victoria 4 - I don't use Genesis or anything newer.

Okay, so I'm assuming you're using the standard V4 bodysuit, so I'll ask this then...
Is there anyway I can get that texture?

The V4 Body Suit has limitations. I have used Supernova's Hot Body. Do you have that?

Did you prefer to play as Dazzler? I'll admit I usually defaulted to Cyclops or Colossus, since I found their mutant powers the most useful.

I only played as Dazzler... as I just wanted to admire her and didn't mind her getting KO'd, even though it cost me money.

Classic Dazz! This is what she looked like when I started buying the Uncanny X-Men many moons ago. Chris Claremont on story duty, Marc Silvestri on the art. Good times, great comic books.

Pretty much the only incarnation of Dazzler that I liked through the years. Claremont had a way of taking gimmick characters apart and putting them back together in a way that made them great characters. Anyway, you nailed Dazzler's costume perfectly.

Wow you really ARE a die hard Dazzler fan. Is this your favourite of her 3-4 outfits? This is the 'Pryde of the X-Men' and X-Men arcade version which is similar but not exactly the one in your avatar. I may make that variant. I am not much a fan of the white one with bell bottoms and roller skates... How can two outfits for the same super heroine be so different?

Dave-Dreamer In reply to Torqual3D [2018-11-24 10:50:30 +0000 UTC]
The blue suit was always my favorite namely because Ali finally got a writer, namely the late Archie Goodwin, who treated her seriously as the heroine she was meant to be. And the blue suit symbolized that.
My take on Dazzler is she was this professional performer who was as much a damsel in distress as she was a knee-jerk super heroine.
A damsel because she was a mutant and thus a target. I saw her as being someone who had to untie her own figurative and literal ropes and be her own hero most of the time.
She was a so-called "reluctant" super heroine, because she had other goals other ambitions, and didn't have the drive or confidence of other super heroes. But she was a woman who was very much ruled by her conscience. And so always tried to do the right thing no matter what. It was just the way she was. A super powered Good Samaritan. Thus the knee-jerk super hero attitude I always saw her as having.
To me, her being a singer was something she did when she wasn't getting into fistfights with evil. Just as Thor was once a doctor, Ironman an industrialist, DareDevil a lawyer, Spidey a student with a part-time job, Ali was in show-biz. We didn't buy their books to see them at their "day jobs." We bought them to see them being heroes. And if Marvel had treated her Just as seriously as they did the others I'm sure she'd have gone far as a hero. Instead we got Dr. Sax and Johnny Guitar. Revenge crazed fashion designers. It's amazing her book lasted as long as it did. Archie Goodwin finally turned things around for her but it was too little too late.
As for the silver suit. It was a stage outfit meant for performing songs and dances in. But since Ali was at the time actually a civilian, a plainclothes heroine, that suit became her unofficial hero costume as well. She finally ditched the suit and skates and actually was a plainclothes heroine for awhile.

Thanks for all of this...
I have recently been ordering old Dazzler and X-Men comics (late Dazzler, hi numbered issues 38 to end) and X-Men in the range 214-219 (where she first makes her appearance). This is also the blue suit era. I want to fully research this period. Can you recommend any stories or issue numbers I should be chasing up?
Also, I think that you of all people should go and check out the 14 pictures I have done of blue suit Dazzler over on my Patreon. I have her in some pinup and modelling poses, some poses using her powers, and a comic style sequence where she is fighting some henchmen. I have put a lot of love into this pics and am adding to them daily at the moment. She's getting a good run. You would have to pledge the lowest tier ($2.95) but if it's not generally something you want to follow after that, just cancel immediately - I really don't mind. I think someone as much into Dazzler as you are would appreciate this. If you do sign up, click www.patreon.com/MoreTorqual3D/… and it will sort the feed of posts to just show the Dazzler ones.
