Needed a new wallpaper and also some motivation to work on a project I've been thinking about, so there we go, two birds. Thought about making a respectable background for this, but then random lines and bokeh happened instead. :CClockwise starting at top left: Striker the pidgeotto, Crash the pidgeotto, Kinkoman the raichu, Del the absol, Josie the electrike, Peanut the piplup, and Scout the bulbasaur.
I forgot how stupidly fun pokemon are to draw and now I can't stop hepl

If I'm lucky maybe I'll have the first area (out of several planned) done a year from now. I probably won't get a lot of serious progress made on it until summer or there are no more other things I should be working on instead, whichever comes first.
Actually if I can just get the starter town and a couple of NPCs finished by August I'll be extremely happy.

Terrible is almost an understatement. The Chrome extension I made recently? It had to be done almost entirely in JavaScript (except some HTML)... I've been programming for years, and this was the hardest and worst thing I have ever done.

These are all really cool, it's great seeing Scout pop back up again and Del too! (I remember him from the PMD RP days oh man oh man). Josie's super adorable, everyone else is all intense and charging forward and she's just like 'Peanut I have no idea what you're doing but whatever's going on sounds fun!!!!'

Ahahaha, y'know it's weird, I've found that really obnoxiously stupid pokemon designs start looking a lot less obnoxiously stupid when they're drawn a bit more like the things they're based off of and in a non-animu style. It's just Nintendo insists on this super-cartoony distorted art and it makes their bad designs look even worse. That's my theory, anyway.

I can totally see that- I find myself liking a lot of the more absurd designs if they're done in the right style (and their good designs can be even more amazing in those styles oh man). ^^
