Okay, this one surprised me by being one of the -easiest- recreations to put together. For some reason, everything just seemed to fall into place while building the King of Atlantis. It wasn't until I got to set and lighting that things started to slow down.

As my first underwater piece, I wanted the lighting to be somewhat subdued and filtered-looking. I wound up in Photoshop doing a slight distortion pass for a hint of ripple effect, and giving the thing a little more feeling of submersion.

Overall, I'm very happy with this one. And it has replaced Batman as the wallpaper on my secondary (portrait) monitor for the time being.
