It's amazing how much one's art can change in a year and a half, JEEZ...
The quality has most definitely risen quite a bit from the last time that you've drawn that character. New ways of shading, different assortments of color, how well that color pops, etc. It's pretty interesting to see how you've changed. ^^
The wide-open eyes as it stretches the face a tad bit, a much more powerful stance, a more free-flowing tail, little subtleties such as those are pretty huge signs that your stuff is reaching a professional level of skill. 'U'

You say such nice things!! Gosh something about your comment on this in particular is just warming my heart ^^
I think the biggest thing that I have improved over this whole time has been the fluidity and clarity of everything. The old one has this stiff, almost creepy vibe with how flat I drew the eyes and some of the other sections. It doesn't help that I did a reALLY weird shading on that old one (no doubt about it, it was with an air brush)?? The muzzle and the ears in particular are wacky.. and then of course I had no idea how to colour a mouth.Β
And for the new one? It just screams all the techniques I have learned over my time drawing digital art! Thinner lines, a way to do blocky shading appealingly, ruffled fur, better expression, exaggeration of features, its all there! The new style is indeed more cartoony, but it uses that to its advantage and really gives a sense of life..Β

You've pretty much listed all of the things that I probably wouldn't have said anything on that you've done differently with both the old and the new one, which is also telling of someone who is becoming a pro. ^^ It's great to see that you understand where you've gone, how you got where you are today... and that you have a lot of potential moving forward into the future! For at this point, it's practically a guaranteeΒ that you will go FAR AND BEYOND expectation, and reach a point of success with your career. 'u'
With all these changes that you've made... and with the many more that will come after, it'll sure be one heck of a ride. ^v^
