Description
One of the Titans who swore allegiance to Zeus, she is the Greek goddess of dawn. She was so beautiful that Aphrodite, jealous of her, cursed her to fall in love only with mortals. And in fact, her most famous lover was the Trojan prince Titonus. He was so handsome that she kidnapped him and took him in her palace. She than pleaded Zeus to grant him immortality, a request he complied. But she realized too late that she forgot to include the eternal youth in her request. So all that she could do was seeing Titonus getting old, so old that at the end she turned him into a cricket, which became her sacred animal.
