Marvel didn't invent her. She's part of Norse mythology. She was Loki's wife. She was his second wife.

I love it! She's certainly less creepy then MARVEL's portrayal. I especially love the red hair...
BTW, did you intend for her to look like Princess Merida from Disney/Pixar's upcoming film, BRAVE?
If so then I find that brilliant! Based on the BRAVE trailer, I can see them as the kind of couple that would work out:
1) neither would really want to get married (especially Merida), so they would be more then willing to give each other their space
2) they would still be loyal to each other, but not freak out too much if the other got in trouble or left for a dangerous quest on their own (each is more then capable of holding their own)
3) Merida's a warrior, but not not as "barbaric" as most Valkyries (if she were Norse, not Scottish), such as Lady Sif. This would please Loki as he's doesn't seem like the kind to want a brutish woman.
4) Both are tricksters in their own way, and have some experience with magic. This could lead to the two of them having some fun in the mischievous sort.
5) Both would not stand for being treated as political instruments (as shown in both films)
6) Both have difficult relationships with their families, though in the end they still love them (Loki definitely still loves his mother)
But I digress. Even if you didn't, your portrayal of Sigyn is beautiful!

is the helmet, that makes her so not appealing XD!
well thank god, you made something a little better! In the comic she's very sweet and protective of Loki, even when he's so mean to her.
