Yeah, I think I enjoy Bloodborne a bit more but I still like to go back and play Dark Souls 1 occasionally.

I haven't played two or Demons' Souls, I couldn't find a copy of Demons' Souls and I've heard two is the worst of the trilogy. Who do you listen to? I'd love to hear some professional opinions on the series

I played two first, then three. At first I thought two was fine? It's a good game, no doubt, but when I play three and compared them. Two is just way out off league. Or maybe I just like the feeling of three more XD

Three feels like it has the strategy of DS2 and a faster pace after their work on Bloodborne. It's the best of both and it really mixes together well.

Oh yeah, I look forward to whatever it is. It could be about freaking Sailor Moon-style magical girls, and they would still make an amazing game out of it. That unpredictability is a good thing though; keeps their games from getting formulaic

Have you tried any other Souls-like games? Some are good, but none really capture that same magic the real deal does ^^.

I tried The Surge and Lords of the Fallen, and both felt a bit too clunky for me, even the roll seemed to take longer. And there wasn't anything to compensate, like a parry. It just felt sluggish and hard to move around. It really made me appreciate all the care that goes into balancing movement in these types of games ^^.

I've seen the gameplay of Lords of the Fallen, and it's super ultra slow motion!!! 

Yeah, I think the Souls game aren't just plain hard. There're many many more aspects to it

I know, I kept having to check the options to see if I accidentally turned on slowmo or cinematic mode XD

They're hard, but not unforgiving. If you put in the time to learn and to understand the systems, you will get better. I think that's what a lot of Soulslikes don't understand, they think enemies with huge health bars and a dodge roll make a good game, but there's so much more to it than that.

Me too, especially if it's in a brand new setting. We've seen plenty of medieval and gothic settings, I'm excited to see this formula applied to other locations and genres.

What would you like to see from the next Souls game/FromSoft IP? Something true to form, or radically different, to avoid them being sort of typecast?

By the way, people are saying Soul Calibur 6 could be happening, and a Hunter from Bloodborne might be a PS4 guest character; wouldn't that be awesome?

I'd prefer something different but still have the same or even improved difficulty formula, that's one thing that attracted me to this game after all. But the thing that impressed me the most is their boss fight and visual works, so if they have that kind of thing in their new game would be excellent!! 

I don't really know much about Soul Calibur series, but if they have the hunter from bloodborne as a playable character, that would be super cool!

I agree, I enjoy the challenge their games provide. I also respect them for not streamlining their games or running them down to gain mass appeal. Yeah, the boss fights tend to be the most memorable parts of these games. If they can keep that visual flair and grandiosity, I'll be happy with whatever they make

I agree, I think they'd make an awesome character. Have no idea which weapon they'd use.
