Description I do not endorse the actions of the US military (or any other army on the world) in any way. I am getting sick of armies (especially those of the US) getting pictured heroically or cool in movies and other media. However I am a big fan of military vehicles and weapons in general.

Hey
Indeed, it took me quite a while to manage the final look, and its not even perfect xD
I created a small flash animation which shows the single steps -> [link]

No problem! I'm a little curious- you said that for most of your textures you used CGtextures- is it only to find grunge-esque stuff or actual objects to use in your textures?

From CGT I only get very common grunge/material textures mostly. The remaining effects (edges, rust, "used-look"/aging, and so on), which make the overall final look, I create with several layers in Photoshop AFTER I added the basic details which I get from all kind of pictures of the specific object.
I would not necessarily use any finished objects in textures, since they probably wont fit as good as if they were created in Photoshop or maybe a 3D-Tool (because of colors, perspective and whatever).

Makes perfect sense now! I figured it wasn't it actual images cut and pasted- for the same reason- but it just didn't click that you could edit them with such a good result! Amazing work!
