Description Media Fasting

My Rules (you do what you want)

Don't:
- Media consumption other than music.
 That means no news, social media, tiktok, youtube, radio, talk shows,
 podcasts, guided meditation. Anything resembling these.
- Also no reading.
 Books of fiction or manuals, magazines, art books, poetry, nothing.
- Read email that isn’t a direct personal letter to you
- Play games, puzzles, sudoku. Anything that distracts
- Look at your phone for any reason other than communication
- Distract yourself with food or things.

Do:
- Keep a journal even if all you write is one sentence per night.
- Fully experience your feelings moment to moment.
 Look lovingly at your boredom. Stand in line without looking at your phone.
- Create. Make whatever. Write, draw, meditate, go for a walk
- Do chores or projects
- Communicate with others in this order; In person, phone, email or text.

When:
I'm starting Friday at sundown.
I will go till Sunday and if it's going well I will try to go until next Friday


The point is to be your creative self, warts and all.
Make shit. You can do it.
Don't seek external inspiration, validation or instruction.
You can figure it out. That's process.
Let nothing distract you from fulfilling your purpose, even if that's to do literally nothing at this time.

Personally,
I hope I'll get lots of music and drawing done.
To really pay attention to whomever I'm communicating with.
To be open.
Go hiking.
