EDIT - I thought I might like a print of this on my wall so I went back and fixed Zuko's horribly pink scar. now it looks much better
So I thought I'd resubmit to show you all.This remains one of my favourite pictures I've done
Finished an awful lot faster than I thought I would.
Zuko's never really been a favourite character of mine, but Azula is brilliant. so evil and malicious.
This was fun

Azula was one of my favourite characters - she was just so interesting. I didn't really like how she went mad at the end of the show :/ I always thought her character was too strong to have a breakdown like that.

Yeah, I thought that too. I think that the series would have ended much better if Zuko and Azula had been more sympathetic to each other.
When Azula mentioned her mother in the Beach, nobody said anything. Zuko looked a little sad, but everyone was just taken aback by her show of emotion. Then Ty Lee just changed the subject. Being Azula, she'd take this the wrong way, and instantly try to hide her moment of weakness.
I liked how Azula was emotionally affected by her mother, but I don't think that alone would have broken her down. It was a combination of her friends' betrayal, her brother's betrayal, and her father giving her a worthless position. For a person whose self esteem and confidence is based on controlling others, this would be a huge blow.
However, I think Azula was genuinely trying to help Zuko in the beginning of Book Three. She was just doing it her way (read: the insanely creepy way). As the older brother, Zuko should have been kinder to her.

When I saw the not-enlarged view, I thought that it was Ember Island Player versions of Azula and Zuko. Looks amazing, though.

Man...this is cool. The two of them working together...that would have been insane. Something else that couldn't have happened in the show...might have made screens explode. -shakes head- Beautiful work...I love the expressions and the joined fire. Beautiful, beautiful job!
