I really love this character from Star Wars, she is so interesting and cool! Now, I know Aayla didn't even have time to open her lightsaber before dying, but I find it ridiculous... An experienced jedi like her should've reacted quicker than the way she did in the movie, not just look around confused and get shot...So this is more like a tribute drawing than something accurate I guess XD Anyway, I hope you like it. I'm drawing Shaak Ti right now and will draw Kit Fisto after that.

I can't help but wonder... what if she had reacted quicker? A faster reaction would have saved so many Jedi, but they were so used to trusting their troops by then.

I interpret most of the Jedi deaths in the movie where if it were anyone else, Aayla would've been all over it. But, it was Blye and his men. They'd fought and bled together through so much, she trusted them completely, as many Jedi probably did. It may not have been a matter of reaction time, but rather the shock of being betrayed by those closest to them. Just my two cents. But, the drawing is very well composed. I love the sense of movement and grace you portrayed in your stylizing.

Yeah, most likely. Maybe it's just the actress that plays Aayla that didn't quite convince me, it just didn't seem real to me. I mean, Ki-Adi-Mundi probably trusted his men a lot aswell, Β but he still defended himself a little bit even though he was so confused and troubled by what was going on. Of course we couldn't expect every jedi to react the same way, maybe it's just that I would've liked Aayla to put up a fight before dyingΒ Β Anyways, thanks a lot for the interesting feedback!
