Ice Cold - RoMMal
Ice fishing was not Cricket’s favorite sport so Mal was surprised when Cricket suggested they meet up on the ice. Mal had packed and left his ranch bright and early to meet up with the redheaded handler.
It was cold and bleak out on the ice. Mal was watching the dark pines sway back and forth in the distance. Forests framed the entire lake. In a few months when the ice melted where he was standing would just be deep water. The only good fishing would be on the shores among the trees. But for the time being he wanted to take advantage of the winter and actually get some ice fishing in for Bronco’s rite.
Bronco was a white halfmane Mal had reluctantly picked up when a man in town began asking around for a ‘crazy’ person to take the snow roan off his hands. Mal hated that kind of talk. He found over dramatic people and dangerous animals was a bad mix. Despite his reservations he stuck a deal with the man and now he had his third tokota.
