Ji’s eyes set ahead of her as she waited on the signal. Her expression was relatively blank as she pushed down some of the sadness she had felt the previous nights and that had been following her around. She leaned over to give Sho’s dark curls a gentle touch as she waited for Ronja and Ayo to catch up with them. She had read a tiny bit about the tagged tokotas and to her knowledge there had been hints about how there might be a set that she was familiar with. The sun was on its way down as Ayo and Ji were on their first day’s journey. With four more days left to kill they were starting to tread through the frozen alaskan fall landscape on top of their respective steads while Sho and Ronja walked side by side. The piebald curly seemed a bit upset as she saw Ji shift a bit uncomfortably on top of her mate’s back. The curly did not like when her poor rider was in a bad shape and she gave an almost desperate plea towards her shorter black mate that seemed no more than a shadow against the bright white powdery snow that seemed to be sprinkled across the vast bright oranges and greens that was the alaskan landscape.
