Ch. 2 That Night

Inside her den Sylvia found a box hidden on the top shelf of her cabinet. It had been hidden and hse took it down and opened it. It had her birth certificate in it. She looked at it. "Kyraeth Silvia Mays." It said. She read it more. "Kyraeth?" She thought. That was her first name? She had always gone by Silvia. She herd a knock on the door. She put the box up and went to answer the door. "It's you.." She said in surprise being friendly. At the door the male dragon she had met earlier today was standing there at her door step.
"Hi Sylvia." He said "my name is Sky-kun. but some people just call me Sky."
She invited him in and offered him berry drop dew juice. He nodded and sat looking around the cozy place. It was one level. Sylvia got up and went into the kitchen.
"How did you find me?" She asked suspiciously. No one ever knew where she lived. She moved so the male dragons would not chase after her.
"I-I-,..m sorry, but I wanted to talk to you..." He replied taking the fresh dew juice from her and sipped it.
Sylvia sat down wondering. "yes?"
He looked into her confused eyes. "I herd you do not have a mate for this year." She shook her head.
"No i do not." She replied. "everyone else has found a mate but me."
He scooted closer to her and held her head up so their eyes met. He looked in them caringly and slithered his tongue out of his mouth to lick her tears away.
She looked up at him and said, "is that an offer?" She asked. He nodded. They stood grabbing claws. Her tail wrapping around his waist. "Then I accept this offer." She said blushing a bit more before she pressed her body against his. She then let go and they visited with each other. When they were done he left her. She licked his snout and he did the same back. "See you tomorrow?" he said anxious. She nodded. With that he left.

The next morning she woke up. This time thinking about Sky. She checked her mail and got a letter. It was an invitation from Sky to join him at the Breeding Fair this weekend. She quickly ran to the table and forgot about breakfast and wrote him back. She smiled while she was writing. She finished within a couple of minutes and put it in the mail box.
Sylvia went down to the river to bathe. Coincidentally that is where Sky went to bathe too. She was there first and got in the water. Since hurgons did not have any clothes she jumped in quickly. Sky arrived not long after and saw Sylvia there already bathing. He went over.
"hey Sylvia..you are here. " He said.
She nodded, "yes,. i like to bathe here in the morning. How are you?" She asked smiling resting in the water. He slipped in beside her and wrapped an arm around her waist. After they got done bathing together he got out and helped her out. They dripped dry before she handed him the note she was going to put in the mailbox.
"so you really like me?" she asked.
he nodded. "of course....and i do not have a mate either."
They walked back together talking. When they got back to his den this time they were in love and had confessed it to each other.
"do you want to stay over tonight?" He said looking outside and seeing it was darker than usual and pouring down rain.
She looked out the window and replied, "sure...if you don't mind." She said.
He shook his head, "no it will not bother me." He said walking over and taking her hand. He led her back to the bedroom she was staying in and let her have some space.
"good night Sylvia...." He said leaving the door. She turned around "call me Kyraeth." She said with a smile. Then he left closing the leaf in front of the opening.
