Raya always dreamed of making it big in show business. For as long as she could remember, she had wanted to be an actress. Born in Los Angeles, the city of movie magic, she was constantly exposed to the glamor of Hollywood. With the support of her parents, she began training as an actor. Despite dreams of stardom, however, the young Raya was motivated to excel in her studies even as she took acting lessons.

As Raya began to grow older, and more options became to open to her, she was set on getting as much out of life as possible. Ballet, gymnastics, track and field, swimming, and even cheerleading, Raya Marshall dipped her toes in as many extra-curricular activities and athletic programs as she could realistically manage. There was just one problem: she excelled in everything she tried. Some might call this a gift, but for Raya it was anything but. She was constantly disappointed and unfulfilled, everything came too easy. Everything except acting.

Acting was the only thing which ever challenged her. It was the only thing that didn’t come easy to her. The challenge itself ultimately proved to be a greater motivator than the dream which inspired the undertaking in the first place. Even so, acting alone could not satisfy her. It provided her with an artistic outlet but not a truly physical one like those she sought out in sports. Raya was ready to give up on finding an athletic pursuit that would challenge and motivate her when one day everything changed.

While spending the night at a friend’s house, Raya saw something on television that drew her in immediately. It was unlike anything she’d seen before. The lights, cameras, and action embodied the spirit of old Hollywood and resonated with her immediately. The stars, fit and athletic women showing off their toned physiques in dazzling and sparkling leotards, were fighting one another. Back and forth these statuesque beauties went, each vying for dominance in their titantic struggle.

There was something here, Raya realized. Something to this. As soon as she possibly could, Raya enrolled in her school’s wrestling program. The training was hard, harder than anything she’d previously done, but it was nothing she couldn’t handle. Raya began to suspect that when her first real match came, she would dominate her opponent. She was worried this was all too good to be true, that her newfound passion would evaporate when everything came too easily.

When her first match came, she was defeated. Her opponent hadn’t even broken a sweat. It was the first time in Raya’s life that someone had bested her so effortlessly. “Are you even taking this seriously?” Those were the words her opponent had left her with as they shook hands after the match. The whole experience was exactly what Raya needed. Most would expect someone in her position to feel ashamed, disappointed, depressed, but Raya was anything but. She was elated. She was excited. She had found that something she was looking for.

Emerging onto the pro wrestling circuit by the name of Raya Starlet, she seeks to become both an award-winning actress and a successful pro wrestler. With two dreams and a goal larger than life, Raya Starlet has arrived.
