m/11 Colonial Marine Corps of the Senate and People of the Republic (of Free Races) Ceremonial Sword.A scimitar with its design roots based in the Kilij of the medieval Terran Middle-East.
The kilij has incredible cutting power for a weapon its size and it is this power and lethality that led the marines take it as their ceremonial weapon.
The deeper section near the tip adds weight for more powerful chops and the acute curve of the blade makes every successful contact a cut instead of a simple chop.
The fuller has the full name of the Corps etched in Standard cursive.

The Kilij is a noble weapon for a more noble time. Not as clumsy as a blaster and more versatile… Wait, I think I’m talking about the wrong weapon there.
