Hyacinthclan had lived peacefully for many moons until it, and its neighboring clans was struck with a devastating plague that left the clan on its last legs. As a desperate attempt to try and save at least a few cats, the healthy cats were sent up into the mountains. The group consisted of the retired medicine cat (Oakhaze), a senior warrior(Haydart), a pair of younger warriors (Crowhail and Grouseface), an apprentice (Cricketpaw) and a kit (Copperkit), and at the unwavering demand of his deputy, the leader Petuniastar. they found another kit (Mottledkit) along the way with no traces of a family nearby and took them in. the clan waited anxiously for any news from their clanmates and after a full moon of silence, Petuniastar returned to find only a single apprentice, Dapplepaw, that had recovered, and a warrior and the deputy (Mantisgaze and Carpfern) struggling to hang on through their illness. He attempted to bring all three back to the new camp, where the medicine cat had come out of retirement so that he could attempt to help, but Mantisgaze died along the way and Carpfern was quickly following. Petuniastar had to act quickly and in a final attempt to save his deputy, he dragged her to the starpond and stepped down from his position as leader, allowing Carpstar to receive her nine lives just in time for one to be taken by the plague. The trio was able to return to the remnants of their clan later, exhausted and rattled, but cured.

Petuniafur is struggling to settle into an elder position in the clan, and wants so badly to be helpful outside of watching the Copperkit and Mottledkit (though he does enjoy his time with them) He's considering putting his leading experience to good use by becoming a mediator. Copperkit is already preparing to be an apprentice and hopes to be trained by carpstar herself. Mottledkit is just along for the friends and the food
