The day had come. This day had been months in planning and constant long distant phone calls.
From the moment Kate McCannon signed the last legal statement purchasing 120 acres that had formerly been her families Farm, she knew she wanted to Breed and Train the much adored Obertaurer. She fell in love with the breed when she was very young. Her mother had taken her to watch the Equestrian Olympics where she fell in love with a pale mare named Sex With My Ex. Royal Pirate Stables still owned the aged mare and still had a few offspring from her, but the thought of ringing them up was far too intimidating for a small town girl in the back hills of a po-dunk town.

With much hunting and many calls to more farms than she could count, she happened across a small farm in the UK who an own half breed daughter of the mare and a few foals from her. A breeding was arranged and over time and much deliberation from the owners at Foxtrot Eventing turned into the purchase of their 3/4 thoroughbred mare and the breeding and permanent/retirement lease of Sex Sells.

The mares arrived around noon and were quickly unloaded along with a surprisingly large box they had not expected.
Both mares unloaded easy enough and the shipping truck was gone as quickly. Both mares were anxious and trembling with pent up energy. The plane ride from the UK and the long ride from the airport had them both pacing and jeering. They were stunning, tall, and muscular with good bone and correct conformation. Sex Sells [Desire] was lighter boned than their stallion Lord - The thoroughbred influence from her sire was obvious apart from her golden dun coloring. But Sexual Tension, her 3/4 Thoroughbred daughter oozed of sleek streamlined thoroughbred speed. It was decided to put the mares in the dry lot stretch their legs, adjust to their surroundings, and go through a mandatory quarantine.

After much Ooos and Aaahs and brushing and petting and general adoration from all of the staff, everyone carried on to finish up evening chores.
Katie went into the barn where the large wooden chest had been left. A small key had been taped to the top and it was held shut by a small padlock. Just as she was about the open it and see what was inside - the phone rang.

As soon as she picked up the receiver an older woman's voice came across the line-
"Hello, Katie?This is Jasari Khan, from Foxtrot Eventing.I wanted to call and be sure Entei and Desire arrived safely? -- Oh good, I'm so glad. And did you receive the tote with their things and my instructions? Yes, everything blue belongs to Entei and the Magenta to Desire. And my instructions have you read them? Desiree gets 1/2 bale hay of the morning with two alfalafa cubes and 3 lbs soaked beet pulp...." Jasari went on like this as Katie listened with the occasional "mhmm, yes ma'am, okay" until all of the instructions which were to be found in the tote were relayed in great detail over the phone.
"Okay dear, you sure to tell Desire I love her and give her a kiss. Uh-huh dear, b-bye"

From brambles and brush to having 8 acres cleared, a brand new 6 stall barn and 4 horses to fill it. Katie could not believe how far she had come in so little time. So much planning and work and stress was finally paying off and the future for Fox Fire Farm was looking mighty bright.
