The fanciest ladies. (They really do, though, you're right. I don't know if it's the skirt-shaped frills or the subtle hourglass shapes thrown into some of them...)
And I would commit felonies to get my hands on the book these illustrations are from, I'm not even kidding. It's Haeckel's "Art in Nature," by the way, if you want to look up more.
