Well....here we have it. This is my entry for contest which I livestreamed. Although this seems like a relatively simple drawing....honestly it wasn't. I had a tough time thinking of an idea for this...(basically a mini art block ). I finally got a idea from a Simba picture I saw on DA a month or two ago and I wondered if I would make something similar only with a dragon. This is the result.

The rough sketch of this was so rough that I was extremely nervous how this would turn out. It was one of the top 5 roughest sketches on paper that I have done of any drawing so far. I don't know why that was the case. Maybe college classes and a tad bit of stress is to blame for that. Whatever. I see some things that I screwed up on that you very rarely see me make...like the big eyes. Also I think it was that top horn was a problem too. The way those horns go back like that was a new deal for me so I had no idea how to do it with this angle. Gave it my best shot though. Oh and yes this was a lazy background....sorry. I've been in this background making funk lately BUT I'm gonna kick it with MY drawings coming up.

Other than that I like it. It's different. Now back to my own drawing list. It's now a long to do list. That's what happens when you have a great ideas to do that you don't want to forget....write them down. Somehow I feel my quality is slipping a bit....sp I'm gonna be more patient on the new few drawings I got. Should be fun!
