FrostfernoIt lives in large lairs deep underground. It has the ability to release immense blasts of heat and cold. This ability is so powerful that it can turn its lair into a blazing inferno or a frozen wasteland. It is feared as a demon because of this power.
It is based on the mythical salamander. It was partially inspired by a large salamander called a hellbender; Frostferno can literally "bend hell" by changing temperatures. It was also inspired by the phrase”when hell freezes over”. Its head shape is based on an ancient amphibian called Diplocaulus. Also, it was partly inspired by Robert Frost's poem Fire and Ice.
