Description (Left) Impostume (With its Costume)
(Right) Impostume (Without its Costume)

Its tail produces a durable silk which it uses to make a sheet-like costume. It uses this costume to lull foes into a false sense of security. When it gets close to the foe, it shreds them with its claws. Its costume also give it protection of most magic.

It is based on the idea that ghosts are actually demons pretending to be the ghosts of loved ones. It is also inspired by trick-or-treaters.

If it were a Pokemon…

A great idea with this, it's nice to see them with and without the costume. I'd definitely like to have one of these

Thanks.  The costumed form was simple enough, but it felt cheap drawing the costumed form without drawing how it looked without the costume.  I had a bit of trouble designing what it would look like under the costume but I'm happy with how it turned out.

I know exactly what you mean... sometimes when I make a simple design, I feel a bit cheap for making it because it somehow feels like cheating ultimately, though, some simple designs do work out very well but it is good that you added the uncovered version and it makes for a well-rounded design. It would be cool if you could switch between both versions, maybe with a unique skill or ability that would bring new attacks or traits, but that's just a thought

I'm actually thinking of doing something like that.  It would start of in the Covered form but if it got hit by an attack its costume would fall off.  It would also change abilities.
