She remains true to her friends and the family that actually doesn't want to kill her and can always be counted on by those who need her.

Caring - Despite her upbringing, Shadow does not see herself above anyone and cares for those around her. Taking up Agent work seemed like a second nature to her, protecting the innocent and either helping or bringing down those caught up in the wrong. She is used in a LOT of AUs, but there are 2-3 AUs that are consistant and that I visit often, with most details being the same, though with certain differences that allow me to experiment to perhaps develop her real story.

Finn begins to lose his mind after Lelands death, unable to control his emotions, and seeing no point in working for an agency that doesn't care, he defects and begins to run a criminal circuit, to which Shadow is in charge of bringing down: Love the Way You Lie

Shadow is raised by Leland after his finds her at the Carlisle base: I'm Here.

Shadow never breaks free of her family, and becomes tainted and evil herself. Finn has defected from CHROME and runs the circuit next to the Carlisles territory. Shadow and Finn have a lot of run ins, and constantly try to one up one another until they start a secret romance.

Leland doesn't actually die, and comes back after a few years. Shadow refinds him and they start to rebuild what they lost.

Early Childhood
Born the first out of her siblings, her parents had high hopes for her to follow in their tire tracks and take over the 'family business' when she was old enough. They ran a drug trafficking circuit, importing and exporting illegal goods through others. This 'business' grew, into something more sinister, gaining 'trades' as it were. They developed tastes for the black market, stealing and robbing others, gathering more and more followers, before finally developing into hit-cars, killing others for vast sums of money. The Carlisle's become famous for their ravage nature, known to all other links and circuits, and quite frankly feared. They now had a vast array of 'trades', if you wanted someone dead, or wanted any amount of offensive weaponry, drugs etc, they were the ones to go to. Mae Carlisle was the head of all of this, having been corrupt at a young age, always being a bit of a wild card. Mae's mother and father, Malvern and Nyla, hung round the base for Shadow's sake, and Nyla was often around when Shadow was suffering from particularly hurtful injuries that her mother had inflicted. Nyla adored Shadow, and did her best to defend the small Celica from the violence of her mother. Nyla would teach and encourage Shadow to sing, and it enabled her to express herself and enjoy her company. Eventually, Mae asked Nyla and Malvern to leave the circuit, giving Nyla no choice but to leave Shadow to the mercy of her parents.

It became clear, that from the very start, Shadow had her own mind and had no interest to be the corrupt and savage daughter that Mae wanted. She was kind to others, and she would not harm another if it was not in self defense. Garek would put her through grueling training sessions, day and night, trying to change her way of thinking. Shadow would quite often refuse to do anything that she deemed 'bad' and this only infuriated Mae and Garek. Once Shadow was a couple years old, Mae had Aiden. Aiden proved to be more successful in his training, outshining Shadow on a constant basis. He became the 'favourite', and he would carry out any deeds his parents wanted. Shadow hoped that perhaps this would take the attention off of her, though in actual fact it got a whole lot worse. Now proving that they COULD train their offspring to think like them, they resorted to punishing Shadow in harsher terms. Before, they would sling her in an empty shipping container and leave her for a day, so she would emerge hungry and weakened. Now, being closer to the age of 8/9, they resorted to physically harming her in worse ways than they had done so far.

As she got older, they began 'harvesting' her parts, ripping parts of her engine out, dislodging her lights, taking out non-essential parts with no sedative to increase maximum pain, before ill-fitting it again. Despite all this, she couldn't bring herself to kill an innocent, or take part in any other illegal act that they ran. It got to the point where she wished that perhaps one day, the torment would be enough to kill her, though Mae and Garek needed her alive. Aiden continued to grow, and as the two got bigger, entering teens, they themselves started to fight, despite the fact they were actually rather close beforehand. Aiden would always defeat Shadow in any fight, and it led to her hiding much more than she was already. Shadow had nowhere to turn, and only hell before her.

It was also at this age that Shadow first met Harper. The Quinns worked closely with the Carlisles to get fake documents, and the families had regular meetings. Shadow and Harper became good friends, and often enjoyed each others company, though were seperated upon Shadow's leaving.

Adolescence
A turning point in Shadow's life was when her grandfather, Malvern, seemed to arrive back on the scene. He had been trying to gain access to Shadow and Aiden for years, though he was always prevented from seeing them, as Mae knew he would convince her kids to turn against her. Malvern made the choice to set up a fake criminal circuit, producing fake documents and basing it in another country, so he wouldn't be found out as easier. Mae was fooled, and allowed him in within her ranks to discuss 'business'. He visited multiple times, often conversing quietly with Shadow, and encouraging her to leave. She was often too afraid to, though it all became too much one day. At the age of 16, Shadow witnessed one of the fire breakouts in the underground tunnels kill 4 of her cousins, having been near them at the time. It was a memory that never left, and to this day she can still remember the agonizing screams they gave. She knew the fire had been started deliberately and she knew that it wouldn't be long before she suffered the same fate. She signaled to her grandfather on his last visit that she was ready to go, and he arranged to meet her late that night, in the east wing tunnel, that led to a dense forest area.

Once night hit, she was there, followed shortly by Malvern. He encouraged her to go far away, he would provide cover for her and that she was to never look back. He gave her a gold pinstripe on both sides, a long family tradition of being awarded these stripes to show extreme bravery and honour. The more stripes you bore, the more respected you were. Mae and Garek rejected this custom, wearing the stripes on their hood as an insult to the name. This gave her unspoken courage, and upon his command, left through the east wing. It wasn't long before she realized what cover he had actually provided her with. She could hear the shouts and the explosion behind her, skidding to a halt as she looked round to the tunnels, seeing flames and debris fly everywhere, black smoke filling the air. The forest around her was soon in flames, choking her quickly and forcing her to move on. She didn't need to hear the screams to know that her grandfather had died.

She kept herself on the move constantly, moving only at night in order not to be seen, getting away as far as she could. Despite her best efforts, she was found by 2 of her cousins and they launched an attack to subdue her and bring her back. She managed to fight them off to begin with, before speeding away, hoping to outrun them. Winter had struck by this point, and the icy roads made it difficult to drive on, causing her to skid and land into a large snow bank. She waited there for them to find her, though they never did. Instead, she was found by Leland Turbo, a field agent from CHROME. It turned out that he had seen the attack, and had made sure they never touched her again. She explained her story briefly, worried of the outcome, before he towed her to CHROME, where he explained that they could help her if she joined them. She readily accepted and began her training immediately at the CHROME academy. She would often get visits from Leland during her years there, and they became very good friends, Finn often coming aswell to see this 'new recruit' that Leland so often talked about.

It came to Shadow's attention that, just before her graduation, Leland had stopped visiting.
She had recently passed on sensitive information to him, after finding satellite charts that differed strongly over time, leading her to suspect that something was being hidden. She took the evidence to Leland, and he announced that he would go and check it out, that it seemed promising. Her told her she did a good job, and that he would return in a few days, though did not radio back for some time. Shadow wasn't concerned to start with, though it was only upon actually passing her education, and being registered as an agent, Finn found her and broke the news that he'd been killed in action. Shadow went into a state of mourning for the car that had brought her to a new life, missing her friend terribly, and a self hatred for herself. She blamed herself for Lelands death, and spent many a night cursing herself and crying, wishing she'd kept quiet, if it wasn't for her, he'd still be alive. Finn became concerned that she might not recover, as he had also heard about her past, and requested that she become his mission partner. She moved into his home, in order for him to keep an eye on her, and from that moment on, they were hardly separated. He, unlike Shadow, didn't blame her for his death, it was his choice to go and due to her findings, they were able to leap forward in the Allinol scam, even if it was only indirectly involved.

Adulthood
Shadow's story is one i'm always working on and it's one I always will do, so this is a constant work in progress.

A few years into CHROME, Nyla, Shadow's grandmother, finds her, and the two reconcile emotionally. Shadow spends a lot of her time with her grandmother, and she starts to sing again, when Nyla sings with her.
However, it's only happy for a couple of years, before Nyla passes away, but far more content and happy that she finally got to be in Shadow's life again.

At the age of 24, Shadow meets Schuyler, a seasoned CORD agent, on a mission to track down an organization linked to her family, only listed as Ghost. At first meeting. Schuyler mistakes her for a normal Carlisle, and threatens to arrest and take her in, though once Shadow proves she's an agent, Schuyler backs down, and the two start a chat about their current mission. They decide to team up to take down the supplies that Ghost had been linked to, finding an underwater city near Iceland that was the main source.

Posing as husband and wife, they fooled the gangs into accepting them, before taking down the operation from the inside out. Whilst on this mission, they founded a romance, that bloomed into a relationship after the mission was over. They started a long distance relationship, with each visit bringing them closer and closer together.

Whether she gets an idea in her head, or something she very suddenly wants to do, being a trained agent, there's not much stopping her. When it comes to life changing decisions however, she wouldn't just jump in.

Defensive - As well as being less social than others, she can be quite defensive when it comes to her own personal life, past or those she loves. She doesn't mind talking freely about her work, to the right people of course, but she is hesitant to spill any details of anything else. She can raise her guard when she feels suspicious or threatened and it can come across as abrupt or short, but she's merely assessing the situation and deciding what is best for her and those the cares for.

She is used in a LOT of AUs, but there are 2-3 AUs that are consistant and that I visit often, with most details being the same, though with certain differences that allow me to experiment to perhaps develop her real story.

Shadow is raised by Leland after his finds her at the Carlisle base: I'm Here.

Shadow never breaks free of her family, and becomes tainted and evil herself. Finn has defected from CHROME and runs the circuit next to the Carlisles territory. Shadow and Finn have a lot of run ins, and constantly try to one up one another until they start a secret romance.

Leland doesn't actually die, and comes back after a few years. Shadow refinds him and they start to rebuild what they lost.

Early Childhood
Born the first out of her siblings, her parents had high hopes for her to follow in their tire tracks and take over the 'family business' when she was old enough. They ran a drug trafficking circuit, importing and exporting illegal goods through others. This 'business' grew, into something more sinister, gaining 'trades' as it were. They developed tastes for the black market, stealing and robbing others, gathering more and more followers, before finally developing into hit-cars, killing others for vast sums of money. The Carlisle's become famous for their ravage nature, known to all other links and circuits, and quite frankly feared. They now had a vast array of 'trades', if you wanted someone dead, or wanted any amount of offensive weaponry, drugs etc, they were the ones to go to. Mae Carlisle was the head of all of this, having been corrupt at a young age, always being a bit of a wild card. Mae's mother and father, Malvern and Nyla, hung round the base for Shadow's sake, and Nyla was often around when Shadow was suffering from particularly hurtful injuries that her mother had inflicted. Nyla adored Shadow, and did her best to defend the small Celica from the violence of her mother. Nyla would teach and encourage Shadow to sing, and it enabled her to express herself and enjoy her company. Eventually, Mae asked Nyla and Malvern to leave the circuit, giving Nyla no choice but to leave Shadow to the mercy of her parents.

It became clear, that from the very start, Shadow had her own mind and had no interest to be the corrupt and savage daughter that Mae wanted. She was kind to others, and she would not harm another if it was not in self defense. Garek would put her through grueling training sessions, day and night, trying to change her way of thinking. Shadow would quite often refuse to do anything that she deemed 'bad' and this only infuriated Mae and Garek. Once Shadow was a couple years old, Mae had Aiden. Aiden proved to be more successful in his training, outshining Shadow on a constant basis. He became the 'favourite', and he would carry out any deeds his parents wanted. Shadow hoped that perhaps this would take the attention off of her, though in actual fact it got a whole lot worse. Now proving that they COULD train their offspring to think like them, they resorted to punishing Shadow in harsher terms. Before, they would sling her in an empty shipping container and leave her for a day, so she would emerge hungry and weakened. Now, being closer to the age of 8/9, they resorted to physically harming her in worse ways than they had done so far.

As she got older, they began 'harvesting' her parts, ripping parts of her engine out, dislodging her lights, taking out non-essential parts with no sedative to increase maximum pain, before ill-fitting it again. Despite all this, she couldn't bring herself to kill an innocent, or take part in any other illegal act that they ran. It got to the point where she wished that perhaps one day, the torment would be enough to kill her, though Mae and Garek needed her alive. Aiden continued to grow, and as the two got bigger, entering teens, they themselves started to fight, despite the fact they were actually rather close beforehand. Aiden would always defeat Shadow in any fight, and it led to her hiding much more than she was already. Shadow had nowhere to turn, and only hell before her.

It was also at this age that Shadow first met Harper. The Quinns worked closely with the Carlisles to get fake documents, and the families had regular meetings. Shadow and Harper became good friends, and often enjoyed each others company, though were seperated upon Shadow's leaving.

Adolescence
A turning point in Shadow's life was when her grandfather, Malvern, seemed to arrive back on the scene. He had been trying to gain access to Shadow and Aiden for years, though he was always prevented from seeing them, as Mae knew he would convince her kids to turn against her. Malvern made the choice to set up a fake criminal circuit, producing fake documents and basing it in another country, so he wouldn't be found out as easier. Mae was fooled, and allowed him in within her ranks to discuss 'business'. He visited multiple times, often conversing quietly with Shadow, and encouraging her to leave. She was often too afraid to, though it all became too much one day. At the age of 16, Shadow witnessed one of the fire breakouts in the underground tunnels kill 4 of her cousins, having been near them at the time. It was a memory that never left, and to this day she can still remember the agonizing screams they gave. She knew the fire had been started deliberately and she knew that it wouldn't be long before she suffered the same fate. She signaled to her grandfather on his last visit that she was ready to go, and he arranged to meet her late that night, in the east wing tunnel, that led to a dense forest area.

Once night hit, she was there, followed shortly by Malvern. He encouraged her to go far away, he would provide cover for her and that she was to never look back. He gave her a gold pinstripe on both sides, a long family tradition of being awarded these stripes to show extreme bravery and honour. The more stripes you bore, the more respected you were. Mae and Garek rejected this custom, wearing the stripes on their hood as an insult to the name. This gave her unspoken courage, and upon his command, left through the east wing. It wasn't long before she realized what cover he had actually provided her with. She could hear the shouts and the explosion behind her, skidding to a halt as she looked round to the tunnels, seeing flames and debris fly everywhere, black smoke filling the air. The forest around her was soon in flames, choking her quickly and forcing her to move on. She didn't need to hear the screams to know that her grandfather had died.

She kept herself on the move constantly, moving only at night in order not to be seen, getting away as far as she could. Despite her best efforts, she was found by 2 of her cousins and they launched an attack to subdue her and bring her back. She managed to fight them off to begin with, before speeding away, hoping to outrun them. Winter had struck by this point, and the icy roads made it difficult to drive on, causing her to skid and land into a large snow bank. She waited there for them to find her, though they never did. Instead, she was found by Leland Turbo, a field agent from CHROME. It turned out that he had seen the attack, and had made sure they never touched her again. She explained her story briefly, worried of the outcome, before he towed her to CHROME, where he explained that they could help her if she joined them. She readily accepted and began her training immediately at the CHROME academy. She would often get visits from Leland during her years there, and they became very good friends, Finn often coming aswell to see this 'new recruit' that Leland so often talked about.

It came to Shadow's attention that, just before her graduation, Leland had stopped visiting.
She had recently passed on sensitive information to him, after finding satellite charts that differed strongly over time, leading her to suspect that something was being hidden. She took the evidence to Leland, and he announced that he would go and check it out, that it seemed promising. Her told her she did a good job, and that he would return in a few days, though did not radio back for some time. Shadow wasn't concerned to start with, though it was only upon actually passing her education, and being registered as an agent, Finn found her and broke the news that he'd been killed in action. Shadow went into a state of mourning for the car that had brought her to a new life, missing her friend terribly, and a self hatred for herself. She blamed herself for Lelands death, and spent many a night cursing herself and crying, wishing she'd kept quiet, if it wasn't for her, he'd still be alive. Finn became concerned that she might not recover, as he had also heard about her past, and requested that she become his mission partner. She moved into his home, in order for him to keep an eye on her, and from that moment on, they were hardly separated. He, unlike Shadow, didn't blame her for his death, it was his choice to go and due to her findings, they were able to leap forward in the Allinol scam, even if it was only indirectly involved.

Adulthood
Shadow's story is one i'm always working on and it's one I always will do, so this is a constant work in progress.

A few years into CHROME, Nyla, Shadow's grandmother, finds her, and the two reconcile emotionally. Shadow spends a lot of her time with her grandmother, and she starts to sing again, when Nyla sings with her.
However, it's only happy for a couple of years, before Nyla passes away, but far more content and happy that she finally got to be in Shadow's life again.

At the age of 24, Shadow meets Schuyler, a seasoned CORD agent, on a mission to track down an organization linked to her family, only listed as Ghost. At first meeting. Schuyler mistakes her for a normal Carlisle, and threatens to arrest and take her in, though once Shadow proves she's an agent, Schuyler backs down, and the two start a chat about their current mission. They decide to team up to take down the supplies that Ghost had been linked to, finding an underwater city near Iceland that was the main source.

Posing as husband and wife, they fooled the gangs into accepting them, before taking down the operation from the inside out. Whilst on this mission, they founded a romance, that bloomed into a relationship after the mission was over. They started a long distance relationship, with each visit bringing them closer and closer together.

Eventually, Shadow moves to Denver with Schuyler, and they have 3 kids together, and then adopt a 4th later on.
