Description
This is a documentation of a duration art performance I exhibited.I sit cradling a 4Kg Octopus.
An animal is neither a friend or fiend, so why do we attribute 'cuddly' or 'monster' qualities to animals? and why does it disgust us so when we subvert them?

yummy.....lol. why do we attribute monstrous to animals? because they are, especially octopie, (i am scared of invertabrates) lol, like spiders, yuck! lol. but cool shot, what did it feel like? it reminds me of my little bow-peep pic,[link] ...lol.

you drawing is so cool!! it had an amazing texture..... and the tentacles were surprisingly rubbery. I did this exhibition twice... the first octopus was less loose in his forehead skin.... maybe this one is older... for some reason, I feel more emotionally bonded with the first octopus. weird hey?
