With a week left to submit to this contest --->fav.me/d71oids by I think I did rather well in keeping my promise to myself that I would submit it early.

I present to you: The winter queen!! This might seem vain, but I love this dress. If I had the body, I would have it made for myself. Still, the artwork has some work left, so I will probably be updating later on. This was a challenging contest in the sense that there was a limited palette to work from, and you had to use at least one colour from each palette.

On to the design. Jewelry consists of a crown, which is gold with sapphires (hey, a girl can dream) and pearls, with the same design on the choker around her neck. Several more pearls and sapphires (and gold) can be found on the dress.

Her cape is made of a dense fur, let's assume for this design it is real (I DO NOT LIKE THE KILLING OF WILD ANIMALS FOR THEIR COATS) and the fastener is made of felt with a gold & pearl clip.

The dress is made of silk with lace trimming, sheer fabric overlay encrusted with stones (diamonds and sapphires). The sheer fabric on top of the bodice is the same as that at the bottom. The dress is decorated with golden chains and jewels ending with gold hand-crafted snowflakes on chains with bells on each end. When the model moves, the dress "chimes"
