Wow, you are a very talented individual. I'm surprised your gallery doesn't have more hits, what's up with that??? Okay I'll start by saying this is an incredible piece. The lighting is dramatic and interesting, and overall it has a very intriguing feel to it. It looks like it could be a world after an apocalypse, and standing on the horizon is one of the few survivors of the atrocity. I like how his arms are outstretched to the light, almost as if he wants to be taken away, silently begging for release from his barren wasteland prison. This is quite a thought-provoking piece, I am very impressed.
There is only one thing about this piece I will critique. The person looks a bit too bold, I think he needs to blend with the picture a bit more. I mean, he's surrounded by light, but it doesn't seem to be touching him. I would say just lighten the color of his body to a softer gray or maybe a soft shade of brown and, and make the edges around him softer and that would make this picture perfect. I think you could probably get away with making him a little bit bigger too; the depth perception seems a little weird. Having said all that, this is your work so you can certainly discard my opinion at will, but know that I love it and it's going into my faves!
