Description This is the crew of the Original Enterprise fighting the crew of the Next Generation Enterprise, from Star Trek, at the behest of Q (who is the guy sticking out of the wall) Clockwise from him is Scotty (TOS), who is being phasered by Geordi Laforge (TNG). Between them is Lt. Cmdr. Worf (TNG) choking two "red shirts" (TOS). Continuing clockwise we have Lt. Nyota Uhura (TOS) and Lt. Cmdr. Deanna Troi (TNG) engaged in a cat-fight. Mr. Spock (TOS) tries to use the vulcan nerve pinch on Lt. Cmdr. Data (TNG)... who is an android. Dr. "Bones" McCoy (TOS) shows Dr. Beverly Crusher (TNG) the back of his hand. Finally, as the centerpiece, Cpt. James T. Kirk (TOS) cold-cocks Cpt. Jean-Luc Picard (TNG).

Done in late 2006.

This is one of my favorite Star Trek pieces on Deviantart. I just have three minor nitpicks. I don't think that Data would just stand there while Picard, Troi, and Dr. Crusher were being hurt like that. To me it seems a little out of character for him. It would be illogical to try to nerve pinch an android. Spock also seems a bit out of it. And finally, where's Riker? Everyone else is on the bridge. So why would the first officer not be? Other than that I love the comedy in this drawing. One thing I personally would have done is replace the two red shirts with Chekov and Sulu.

Thanks for the critique! I agree with your points... Rule of Funny took precedence over character behavior in certain aspects. As for Riker, Sulu, and Checkov... I thought about how to add them in, and never came up with a good way.

Although I find it hard to believe Spock would make the mistake trying nerve pinch on an android, better nerve pinch certain other TNG "genius" *cough cough* SHUT UP Wesley! *cough* and, that McCoy, the old southern country doctor would slap a woman.
As for Troy vs. Uhura... I say they are even matched... so as to let them fight for as long as possibleΒ Β 
Would be interesting is there was a fight between Sulu and Riker - Sulu with his rapier and Riker with soe weapon out of Worf's calisthenic holoprogram, or Bat'leth, or the Anbo-jutsu pole

Kirk is younger and stronger than Picard, in his physical prime. But Picard in his 30s might have been quite a mach for Kirk.

Q WOULD instigate something like this.

Oh, it's such a hard choice for me...I mean, I prefer TNG as a series, but some of the characters are tough.

My call:

Picard vs. Kirk--Picard. I like Kirk a lot, but definitely Picard.
Bones vs. Bevs--Grrr, that's one of the toughies. I love McCoy to death, but Crusher's one of my favorite Trek characters on the whole, so her.Β 
Spock vs. Data--I, just...you can't even...you can't even ask this, I don't think. Somewhere there's a universal law against it.Β 
Uhura vs. Troi--Like both, but probably Uhura.
Work vs. dem red shirts--Well. Gee.
Geordi vs. Scotty--Another one that's nigh impossible! A draw!!

To be honest, I think TNG is going to win. Spock is trying a NERVE pinch on an ANDROID, which as no actual biological nervous system, therefore, no nerves. Plus, there's Worf's Klingon strength, and Geordi's phaser. Finally, if Picard ends up bruised too much, I think Q might actually stop the fight, since he seems to care for Picard a bit.
