From the moment I decided that my characters lived in their own world and I was telling the story of their lives, something I'd been working at is figuring out how those stories would end. I'd love to keep doing stories and pictures about them forever, but realistically speaking, I may one day, years from now, decide it's time to end their tales and I want to be prepared for that instead of throwing something together. The picture is just a sneak peek at that future.

Sometime after assembling Sapphire's story, the two possible endings were obvious: she either stays half-spider or she becomes human again. Clearly, I went with the latter, but as you can see, things don't snap back to the way they were. Her final story explores the consequences of her time spent and what her actions have done to the lives of others.

Sounds depressing? Don't write it off just yet. At the very, very end, it gets better for her. You didn't really think I'd just wreck her life and leave it there, did you?
