− 1217: Hari was born during this year, everything else is out of our intelligence division's grasp unfortunately.

Jōyō Hari is the current Chieftain of the Jōyō Clan and the Third Haikage (Shadow of Ash) In Ihaigakure,
and has taken credit for singlehandedly destroying Kōsetsumura, and has crowned himself head of the Summit.
He is the third of his name, and comes from an ancient Bloodline that traces back long before even the coalition,
perhaps even the last remaining clan which is so closely related to the Ancient Tribes of many generations ago.
As a result, he considers Ihaigakure the ancestral residents of shintenchi, deeming it his birthright to conquer.
Though, he tends to dislike all "paleblood" clans, due to his past history, he has a strong hatred of Tōrōgakure.
Like his father, and his father before him, Hari became Haikage after completing Ihaigakure's Succession Ritual,
the act of stopping the great Volcano that Ihaigakure is situated beneath from erupting and emerging unburned.
Hence the name Haikage, as only one who is cannot be burnt may be the shadow which protects the Volcano.
But even before his reign, Hari was a terror on the Battlefield, earning himself a vile reputation in Tōrōgakure.

Hari is a boisterous, straight forward man with a booming voice, a piercing gaze and an intimidating stature.
Various Wars have hardened his resolve, and made him a ruthless fighter, though one who bears many scars.
The most notable of which is over his eye, a wound from the 3rd Akarikage which seemingly cost him it's sight.
Ever since, his remaining eye has stayed in a permanent state of activated Dōjutsu, hence it's altered colouring.
In addition to this substantial Injury, the 3rd Haikage has also suffered another severe injury during his lifetime.
During the Last Great War, his right arm was afflicted by a deadly Jūinjutsu during a ploy by Tarō and his Allies.
This Injury foiled the Haikage's plans, causing Ihaigakure to pull out of the War in an attempt to discover a cure,
effectively costing Ihaigakure the war and allowing Tōrōgakure's rise to power. But without the Key to the Seal,
the Necrosis and Decay of the technique can never be stopped, only delayed by Countersealing and Medicines.
Despite these handicaps, Hari remains a capable fighter, ranked at #1 on Torogakure's Dangerous Enemy List.
But behind the stature and scars is a True Man of Ihaigakure. Hari is more than a monster on the battlefield,
he is Brave but Stubbornly Proud. A lover of sports and physical activities, who once ate 36 bowls in one meal.
He is a man who loves each woman in his harem, and father to a son he hopes will outlive him in wars to come.
