This year I took on the Inktober challenge. If you're unfamilar with it the idea is to create an artwork everyday of October using ink following a theme for each day and post it on social media. This one was the first painting using the prompt 'Bait'. I thought having a cigarette butt on the hook was very fitting.Cigarette butts contain many toxic chemicals, including arsenic, nicotine, various heavy metals and a class of compounds called polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, which are released into the environment.
