Wanted to draw something quick but also challenging myself a bit, so boring portrait but trying to be a bit more exciting about the angle and stuff.

Switched back to an old brush setting and it is funny how a little time away from something can really change how you feel about it. I had used various 'brush stroke' settings in sai for the last few images and this is back to the noise setting, sort of a really rough round brush that is not very precise but sort of has a nice feel to it. I actually considered drawing a few different things before setting on Rohan, mainly because I wanted someone that would suit having his chin up and because I haven't got any drawings of him on my new account. This Rohan is based on my Super Action Statue Rohan, one of many toys that confirm my status of eternal virgin sitting on my shelf/virginity shrine. I only note it because it has much 'sharper' features than most art of him post part 4, where Araki's style changed a fair bit.

Rohan Kishibe is a secondary character introduced in Jojo's series 4. He is sort of an artist insert, I've heard Araki doesn't feel he specifically relates to Rohan. Regardless of how much of the artist is inserted it is pretty clear Rohan is is a character he loves because he has multiple spinoffs and more costumes and redesigns than any other character. I have become very disenchanted with Jojo's ever since the anime released because I am an insufferable elitest but I've liked Rohan's design since the old Duwang days so I always have time for him.
