Samurai Jack was one of the first action shows on Cartoon Network and first shows on Toonami that is not a dubbed anime. It was cancelled on a cliff hanger in 2004. But, after 14 years of a large hiatus, its final season aired on Adult Swim, and not Cartoon Network in mid-2017, thus ending the story of Samurai Jack.
FUN FACT: It was Genndy Tartakovsky's second shows made for CN after the success of Dexter's Laboratory.

In some proportion, I understand his ordeal. Jack's pains and fears can easily translate into hardships of life, like nightmares and depression. He teaches you that even when you fall into darkness, you may come back and redeem yourself, rebuild your mind and memories from the ground up and come back stronger than before.

Especially that episode with the three monks, where he failed to climb a tall cliff, and just lay there while saying "It is Impossible..." In a defeated tone.
I can vouch that pretty much everyone has had a moment like that before...
