Description
Its a cold, but cloudless day in upper New York as a mixed manifest rolls west toward Buffalo. On the head end, is over a dozen brand new cars out of Despatch Shops Inc. The cars, marked for Trans Grain and Southern, are heading out for thier first runs. The cars will be heading to the AWVR, where Trans Grain will put them into service replacing the much older 4700cf cars. the SOU cars will run to the SNRR, and then the SOU where they will be out into service. the power itself, is a common mix seen on the CS&N road trains today. with the roster filling out on several builders, it seems that having solid sets of single builder power has become very limited. Here, a CS&N rebuilt Dash 9, a CLW built unit, and a CEC built unit power the 250 car train.
