Mr. Cross likes to save Steam Locomotives but he also see the hard work Diesel Locomotives can do as well. At the RRHMA they have 4 Diesel's. 2 to stay permanently. 1 on trial and 1 on lone.The first engine is call Chris, He's a EMD SD70 built for the Illinois Central Railroad in 1992. Case he keep his IC colors he was just patched this gave him the nickname "The Black Panther"
Conrad the SD40-2w was a new engine the railroad built. He was sold by Canadian National to a Railroad in New England for used as a freight engine but due to money troubles the railroad when bankrupted. After he was bought he was giving a full over haul whyile retaining his Canadian design.
Wayne the SD40 was brought to the railroad on trial for used as a mainline and switcher engine case in case if its needed. Soon Wayne will give a demonstration. If it gose well he will join the railroad.
Suzanne a CSX SD40 (now PRLX) is on lone from Utah to help with small freight and mow. She isn't so friendly and is prone to stay out of the line light. If she keeps this up who knows what may happen.
