Name: Vivian Julie Andrews

Background: Vivian’s life is a bit of a rollercoaster. Her mother, “Excia” gave birth to her on her home planet, Green Gate, where she just a lowly seed. But as war struck the planet, due to other complicated factors, Excia died a gruesome death for her kind.

Knowing that she might not make it, Excia entrusted the care of her daughter to her stepsister, Maggie, and her stepdaughter, Beldam. Since then, Vivian bloomed into the world, and was raised and treated well by Maggie. Beldam however, not so much. She took every opportunity she could to torment and bully the girl. Maggie however, wouldn’t have any of it, and always swiftly put a stop to Beldam’s games. Vivian also got the chance to make a very special friend. A seedrian boy named Fred. And since their first encounter, they’ve had a tight bond since then.

Vivian, despite having difficulties with her stepsister, had a relatively peaceful and enjoyable childhood. But that all changed however, when Maggie fell ill, and eventually died. Vivian was heartbroken by this, but Beldam however, wasn’t, and took Maggie’s absence as an opportunity to make Vivian’s life absolute hell. And she did just that, forcing Vivian to be her personal slave around their living quarters. Constantly berating her, barely feeding her, and setting unreasonable expectations on the girl all for her amusement. Vivian felt broken, worthless, and alone.

A couple months later, Vivian surprisingly ran into Fred again, and shared her stories of the abuse she went through, and her stepmother’s death. Fred, horrified by this, promised Vivian that he will always help her no matter what, and that she will never be “alone” ever again. Promises he hasn’t faltered on once. Since then, not only has Vivian and Fred’s friendship strengthened remarkably, but Vivian had found plenty of new friends that are willing to back her up in any situation she happens to come across. And she couldn’t be more happier to have them. Beldam is still a major plight on her life, but she won’t be alone, as she’ll always have the people that truly love her to rely on. Even in spirit.

Abilities/ specifications:

Plasma gun: Vivian’s gun shoots swirling shots of plasma from the barrel inside. When hitting the enemy, the bullets can bounce off of a target and deal extra bits of damage. Think of it as X’s Buster upgrade from X3. She can also charge her gun to give off a bigger and more powerful blast, it isn’t that large though, but it moves pretty quickly. The gun was given to her by a unique character during a situation going on. Since then she used that weapon to combat and threats that headed her way. Thankfully she doesn’t have to use it much.

Hammer: Vivian’s hammer was found at an earlier time than when she got her gun. It’s your standard hammer, like the ones used frequently in the Mario RPGs.

Dress: Like Cosmo, Vivian can use her dress as a parachute to safely float down from tall heights. Dude to her more energetic and rowdy demeanor she tends to forget this skill at times, but it still comes in handy.

Life gem: Unlike most Seedrian, Vivian doesn’t have any special powers. Neither does she have any tied to her life gem, except for one secret ability. Anyone with special abilities can transfer their own power into Vivian’s life gem, and as a result, Vivian can get a bit of a power boost, or even be saved from a fatal hit. This is a seldom seen ability though, barely anyone knows this info about Vivian’s gem. Vivian herself has no clue that her gem even has this ability. On her own though, she does not have this power at all. It’s her gem doing the work.

Vivian also has an incredible ability to simultaneously annoy people and cause trouble. It’s one of her finest skills.

Character Study: Vivian is a pretty rowdy girl. She’s wild, sporadic, and hyper. She’s headstrong, impulsive, and pretty reckless at times too. This tends to get her and her friends into a lot of trouble, often saying and doing things that can make a tense situation worse. Her spontaneous nature also tends to be a general annoyance for some people around the ship, though other people, mostly her friends, enjoy her company, and tend to get drawn towards her. (She tends to get a lot of attention for the stuff she pulls.)

Vivian likes to tease and prank people with Fred. Often laughing at the misfortune they get put through. She also tends to get enjoyment from teasing and annoying certain people on purpose too. She can be quite the troublemaker. With all this in mind, people on the ship tend to mistake Vivian for being an uncaring troll. However, this type of behavior stems from the biggest issue in her life. Beldam.

Living under her has effected Vivian’s personality in negative ways. As well as her pranks, Vivian can generally talk and act in a way where it may come off that she can’t take anything seriously, and doesn’t really care about someone’s personal issues or struggles. Vivian has tried to change this reputation of her but some still just don’t like her. The biggest effect Beldam has had on Vivian is her own perception of herself. Vivian hates herself, and believes that she’s not worth anything in life. A dirty lie hammered into her head by Beldam over and over again to the point where she actually believes it. This is the root of most of her actions. She pranked people because she already thought that she was a terrible person, and might as well revel in it. She tries her best to hide this part of her personality from others, but it tends to leak out frequently, which makes peoole worry for her a lot. Her self-loathing always blinds her from the genuine good she has done for people, and the true person she is deep down.

She’s actually a surprisingly caring girl, and easily emphasizes with people who are especially going through tough periods in their life. She has went out of her way to help others with big problems on occasion and they’ve turned into lifelong friends because of that. She has to be reminded about this a lot from her friends, Fred especially does this multiple times, and while she still has an inferiority complex growing in her, it tends to take her back to reality at times. Vivian is not always like this though. Generally she’s a happy, playful and positive soul despite all the trickery she tends to do, and sadness that surrounds her life. People tend to write off Vivian too quickly, but if you stop and look past all the pranks and jokes and all the randomness, you can see a genuinely good girl in there through and through. A girl both Maggie and Excia is very proud of.

.The names :Vivian and Beldam are an obvious reference to the popular game Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door.

.Vivian actually has met a human before. An unforeseen circumstance has actually led a boy named Christopher Andrews to met her, and they’ve formed a great relationship since then.

.Vivian and Fred found an old beat up computer floating in space one day. Miraculously, they were able to fix up the computer, and explore it. The computer had various details about earth and the internet at large, and Vivian and Fred learned a lot about it all, to the point where they’re more obsessed with it than their own world at times.

.Being obsessed with the internet, Vivian is surprisingly up to date with trends and slang, and what’s generally seen to be “in”. Much to Chris’s annoyance due to the irony of it all, and the fact Vivian keeps teasing him about it.

.Vivian’s Life gem wasn’t always Orange. It used to be red, but she painted it Orange for style.

.Vivian is a bit of a fashion nerd. She actually makes dresses and costumes to wear for herself and others, and is always trying to look for something stylish to make and try on.

.Vivian loves cardboard, and loves to create a lot of elaborate things with it, including armors from different types of media, and even a full on dress made out of it.

.Julie is technically Vivian’s last name, as it belonged to her mother’s last name as well, but she never knew that, and instead took the name “Andrews” as a last name herself. (She stole it from Chris.)

.The weirdest fact about Vivian is that she’s actually quite the love expert. She’s watched a ton of romance soap operas, and has picked up on a lot of stuff that happens in them.

.Vivian’s favorite gaming series is MegaMan.

.Vivian doesn’t have as much emotional attachment to Excia as she does to Maggie since she never interacted with her, but she still mourns the loss of both, and frequently thinks about them both. She usually stays awake at night wonder what Excia was actually like.

.Despite all the abuse she went through, Vivian still has a soft spot for Beldam, constantly pointing out that she’s the last tie to her family she has, and is hopeful that they can have a true relationship one day. Although that’s sadly too good to be true.

Final notes: Why can’t i just talk about my characters in a non-convoluted way? I really feel like i need to apologize for this one. I promised the bio on Vivian a very long time ago, but it never came out because i was just too busy trying to find the right words to say. It’s not even writing, it’s just talking about my OC....i dunno what happened....but hey! At least i got this out! I also updated the bio format a bit, it’s not too major but you might see it if you compare Pyra and Anthem’s bio’s to Vivian’s.
