HAPPY 50TH ANNIVERSARY, SESAME STREET!!
And to celebrate this occasion, here's an iconic character who's hardly in the show anymore, if at all; Little Bird, who serves as something of a foil to Big Bird.
Truth be told, I remember seeing a good number of books with him in them, but hardly ever did I see him in the show proper, although I do remember seeing him in the musical segment, "We are all Earthlings", in which he had the first line, "Some of us have feathers" (and on a side note, Elmo, who also appeared in the segment, only had one line throughout the whole thing, "Some of us are furry"; reason most likely being that this was before he was popular).
When Little Bird first appeared, way back in the show's first season, he was voiced by Jim Henson himself, with more of a Kermit the Frog type of voice. However, as time went on, he would later be voiced by Fran Brill (voice of Prairie Dawn and Zoe before her retirement), presumably in order to sound more childlike.
And believe it or not, Little Bird had actually made a few cameos in the Cookie Monster DOS game that I have mentioned quite a few times. In fact, I've been using screencaps of it for reference to draw him.
