plus if you think about it, once you know the science of how all of the technology works on the starships, you'll be able to improve the tech as an engineer. Or at least that's how I would see it.

I understood several words on this grid, but I tend to use them in different contexts. Like Replicators being the little block-like evil robots from Stargate that devour everything.
