Description
This is a drawing I did of the original four G1 female Autobots based upon custom models I built. They are (clockwise from front) Elita-1, Moonracer, Firestar, and Chromia. Their base designs were from the cartoon but modified so that they actually can transform. Elita-One's design is based on Don Figueroa's design for her. That's because all of them can. The designs I used for this drawing are the custom models I made for each of them. All four models are fully transformable.

Nice! It's good to see at least one artist realizes that just because they're female, they don't have to be robot pinups. It's good to see Elita and her crew actually looking like Transformers.

Thanks. Like I said, the drawing is based upon customs I built of them, and were designed to be able to actually transform without "cheating". I still wanted them to look feminine as well. So far, I have six custom female Autobots: Elita-1, Chromia, Moonracer, Firestar, Beta, and Glyph. I'm working on a scratch-built Arcee as we speak.

You should post pics of your customs! I'm into customizing myself, when I have the time and the money. Right now, I'm trying to plan out a custom for my fan character, Nightshade, who transforms into a F117 Nighthawk Stealth Fighter.
Anyway, I would love to see your work!

I love your customs, especially Nightbird. Her alt mode looks similar to Cyclonus', but the style is unique.
Did you use existing Transformers as your basis for the 4 female Autobots, or are they completely customized? I would love to hear any advice you may have, so I won't completely screw up when I make my own.

I would never sell my customs. Being a university student, I don't have time to make anything except for myself (and even then, I haven't made anything since school began), and I think I would have a problem with working so hard on something, only to give it up, for any price.

Chromia started out as a Cybertron Brakedown with a new head, arms, and vehicle chassis. Moonracer started out as an LoC Starscream and heavily kitbashed with many scratch-built parts. Elita-1 and Firestar are heavy kitbashes utilizing parts from several knock-off Cyberjets, a couple of micro-R/C truck bodies, an oversized knock-off LoC Evac (for Elita-1), and lots of styrene.The Arcee I'm currently working on is completely scratch-built. IF you really want some serious kitbashing advice, join up at Sector70.New members are always welcome.
