Description "Understand this: You can't frighten me with your empty lies and idle threats. You will learn soon enough that we will stand against tyrants such as you, that the few stood against many, and before I see you breathe your last, I will prove to you, Vorta, that even a god can bleed..."

Dedicated to NikkiAgent , for supporting Star Trek: Titus! I appreciate it; I really do!

Under the service of Commander Shral , the sardonic, charismatic Subcommander Tholon is a decorated commando of the Andorian Imperial Guard, and is First Officer/Tactical Officer of the imperial warship Hravishran. Born formally as Piahntholon ch'Eknoor in the subterranean capital city, Laibok, on moon Andoria, orbiting Procyon VIII, Andorians are a volatile, aggressive, militaristic warrior race. His clan came from a long line of military tradition and possesses great social influence on their homeworld. Over eight generations joined the service of the Imperial Guard, however he originally wanted to be a scholar, but his family insisted that it was his duty to serve Andoria and his people. He is an ambiguous and enigmatic individual who is self-contained, taciturn, intellectual, pessimistic, intense, dour and sardonic, possessing a humor imbued with a distinctly cynical bent and a fierce devotion to duty (which he describes as his greatest weakness). And yet beneath his tough, pragmatic, and often arrogant exterior lurks a passionate and sensitive, even shy, personality, with a deep love for literature and music. He caught the eye of Ensign Ling Mei of the USS Titus (NX-74910).

(I added a new and "younger" model for Tholon — actor David McCallum who became a sex symbol of the 1960s due to his portrayal of the spy-adventurer Illya Kuryakin from The Man From U.N.C.L.E. I have been recently re-watching the series, drooling over his Illya, and came to the realisation that "Illya IS Tholon and Tholon IS Illya! It's no wonder Ling Mei fell head over heels with him..." Ahhh, grey eyes!

The quote is part of Tholon's prophetic speech toward Dominion Ambassador Selsar he made before the start of the Dominion War. Tholon would stay true to this words at the ending battle — of course, so did Selsar.)

ah, the andorian, ever-handsome he looks like he's plotting something... *curious*
that dark uniform really suits his skin well, and i love the hair

Well, I've been thinking of making the uniform darker. I've been wondering if I should make it "black leather" because it's nice and sexy, but I wouldn't want to mistake them for Section 31.

bcbdrums In reply to tranimation-art [2010-01-04 23:39:05 +0000 UTC]

hmm...well, you know what the uniforms on ENT look like. perhaps some sort of hybrid so you get the darkness you want but it's undeniably andorian?

tranimation-art In reply to bcbdrums [2010-01-05 07:29:19 +0000 UTC]

True. But we'll see. I'll have to play around with textures and colours. They always seem to have a reptilian texture to them.

bcbdrums In reply to tranimation-art [2010-01-08 16:21:08 +0000 UTC]

yeah, they do... interesting, considering their species has nothing to do with reptiles.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

tranimation-art In reply to bcbdrums [2010-01-09 01:24:21 +0000 UTC]

True. But I think this is to make him more noticeable than the other Andorians. They all have the same skintone and practically the same hair, so you pull Shran out with a bluish grey reptilian leather uniform with a thong, and you give the rest brown dull leather.

ROFL! It's funny that I've often wondered that as well! Not that it matters because I find it quite fetching on Shran. It shows off his ass.

For me?!! Really! Wow! I've never had anything dedicated to me!

*feints a little* He is nice isn't he *poke* I'm still all for them working it out, without an international incident please (why can I see Shral saying something like this *hugs her plushies*) I mean I know you love the girl and hey good for you but can we not start a war over it?

They need to get together! *it is 6 am and my brain is still trying to function*

What a nice thing to wake up to.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

tranimation-art In reply to NikkiAgent [2009-04-03 00:15:09 +0000 UTC]

I'm glad you like it! No, an international incident doesn't come out of this, but it does have to be resolved by the Evaste Elders, who are the only people who can release bondmates from their bethrothal. But because his romance with Mei is whispered somewhat publicly on Andoria and as a "tezha", a sexual union outside the shelthreth, is frowned upon, Tholon does become socially disgraced. However, he is not expelled from the Imperial Guard, however because his social position of his clan, due to their military connections, it is assumed that he will be passed over for command (of his own ship). However, he proves himself worthy as he continues fighting (with honour) during the Dominion War.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

NikkiAgent In reply to tranimation-art [2009-04-07 04:24:08 +0000 UTC]

I wonder how the rest of the shelthreth take it? Are they outraged, embarrassed, appalled, mortified or understanding? Do either one of our happy couple ever even find out? I think atleast one member of the shelthreth should be supportive (partially cause they need somebody from Andoria on their side and partially because I enjoy the idea of a four way screaming row sometime around the break-up)

I do love it, I do! All for me! *hugs the piccy*

tranimation-art In reply to NikkiAgent [2009-04-08 12:02:15 +0000 UTC]

I'm not sure if I should show his shelthreth. I thought if I did, it would turn out comical because I would make the thaan (the other "male") screaming at him! Hmmm...

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

NikkiAgent In reply to tranimation-art [2009-04-08 23:17:18 +0000 UTC]

I hate to make light of what I'm sure would be a very dramatic angsty moment but I like comedy. Comedy is good.

And you could have one of the girls screaming at him on the other side(or crying) and the second girl standing in back with that exasperated look of resigned long suffering on her face.It would be very dramatic I am sure . And vaguely comical. Screaming rows are always funny.

tranimation-art In reply to NikkiAgent [2009-04-13 21:15:23 +0000 UTC]

I love comedy as well. I will add comedy to Titus, but with my warped sense of humour, I would have the "male" be the bitchy one about Tholon leaving the shelthreth. But really what my original plan was that after the Elders break the bethrothal, an young but unnamed Andorian, androynous, will walk up to Tholon and slap him with the back of the hand across the face in tears and leave. That person could be one of members of his shelthelth giving him a piece of their mind; or a member of his family, like a sibling, signalling that he's exiled him from his own clan. I wanted to keep it serious.

There's already a lot of humour in the Ling-Tholon relationship, such as the time she was trying to get his attention, but didn't know how to Andorians "flirt" (or if they flirted at all). One of her best friends recommended the Klingon way, so she GROWLED at him when he walked by. Tholon gave her a "Huh???" look.

I really really like how you customize your characters with different styles of nose and ears, just like how people are unique, you make your characters their own person--well, mouse. ^^

I feel the design of the character, particularly the face, with it's eyes and smile and eyes and overall look, should match the personality, thus each character looks unique and distingishing.

Nice expression on his face.
I loved the Star Trek next generation (in Spain "Star Trek La nueva generación").Especially I liked the personages of Jean-Light Picard, Riker and Data. But I fear that I do not know too much this race, Andorian. Sometimes I have seen some drawing of them or have read some comic in which they appeared.

The Andorians first appeared in the Star Trek: The Original Series, with Kirk, Spock, and McCoy, in the episode "Journey to Babel". The series Star Trek: Enterprise made revamped the Andorians and they basically stole the entire show from the main cast, hahahahahaha!

[Thumbs up.] IDIC can lead to some amazing results.

And I would love to do anything with Star Trek.

I didn't mention this, but I do have a little background with drafting, if you need ships or stuff drawn for reference.

I suck at drafting. I can't seem to do inanimate objects to save my life. I'm in the process of redesigning the ship, so....we'll see what happens. I'll definitely keep you updated.

I'm better with inanimate objects then living ones. And I used to design space ships as a kid.

Please keep me updated. If I can help, I'd love to, if not, I'd like to see the work.

It came around in a dream: It's two of my favourite obsessions — Great Mouse Detective and Star Trek — merged and mingled as one little, parodistic crossover, brought to you by me. It's the adventures of Star Trek: Titus:

It's kinda of a spin off of DS9. It's my favourite Star Trek serial, but they didn't talk enough about the horrors of warface and there were a lot of questions left unanswered. The dream consisted of my Great Mouse Detective characters casted as Star Trek characters. It was a weird dream and this was a result:

Basically, it takes place between the years of 2373 and 2375, where the greatest intergalactic war in the 24th century against the United Federation of Planets and the greatest power of the Gamma Quadrant, the Dominion, has begun, bringing the Klingons and the Romulans as allies to the Federation, and the Cardassians and the Breen to the side of the Dominion. The experimental prototype Federation starship, USS Titus, and her crew is put to the test in a full-out war!

Check out the gallery folder "Star Trek: Titus" and there's more detailed descriptions in there.

I don't remember many dreams I have at night, unfortunately. I have night terrors, where I apparently get these awful nightmares then awake up without any memory of them, so I don't remember many dreams, good or bad. So I make up for my lack of memory by daydreaming constantly. That's how most of my ideas get formed.

Er-ika In reply to tranimation-art [2009-03-28 17:46:25 +0000 UTC]

Yipes, my brother has night terrors. He wakes up screaming about a giant meatball.

Daydreaming is a good solution to your dilemma I guess.
