Description A practice comic I made earlier this year following the evolution of life on an alien planet.  The planet in question is of similar density to Earth, but has lower gravity.  As a result, it's predominant conditions include a relatively colder, drier climate than Earth's, with several periods of extensive glaciation occurring over its timeline.  Warmer periods, triggered by long-term fluctuations by its local star, axis tilt, orbit, and magnetosphere, etc..., allow the few small moons to stir the cold oceans enough to break up the ancient ice sheets, granting life new niches to explore.  This first page depicts a school of exoskeletal swimmers traveling to their spawning area.  Along the final stretch, they are preyed upon by tube-bound worm-like ambush predators, which may not get another chance for a meal like this until the next spawning.  Having avoided the predators, the school beaches itself, depositing their eggs within the damp, sun and volcano-warmed sand.  This allows their offspring to develop in relative safety as opposed to drifting in open water.  And so, though the adults perish in the process, they have ensured their genes a greater chance of passing on to future generations...

This page is very eye catching with the bright colors and attention to detail.
An organism that beaches itself to lay eggs is an interesting idea!

really cool concept, also even thought not shown the idea of a colder world having multiple moons and tides being rough enough to break the ice is a cool concept, is rather possible science fiction with little to no suspension of disbelief, nice!

I did design them off of the premise of a crustaceaous tadpole.
