Description

Robin wanders into Ivy's garden, a lush jungle that carpets every surface of the Turkish architecture with greenery. The plant life seems to have a mind of it's own as arches of vines and flowers fall behind Robin and seem to sensually sigh and giggle as they do so, blocking the Boy Wonder's way out, urging him further into the lair and offering some privacy for Ivy's promise of romance/ plan to kill him.

The hero reaches the central bath lined with Lily pads, vast feathery fans of purple pampas grass slide back to reveal the full length and a large flower at the end opens up to reveal Ivy, who reclines casually, giving him a brief "Hi there..." as she raises her eyebrows suggestively.

The dubs on the whole don’t deviate too much from the simple cheeky greeting that Ivy gives Robin, the odd “Hello”, “Welcome” or “Hi” being whispered, purred or straight up exclaimed. The delivery is really where most of the dubs get creative, ranging from soft tender whispers to sensual, suggestive purrs. That said there are some dubs that go do their own thing in regards to her welcome.
The Italian Dub deviates somewhat as Ivy softly greets Robin directly as if he were a lover, giving him a gentle “Hi, Honey/Sweetheart…” that belies her intentions to seduce him to his death, keeping up the sweet and innocent act right up until the fateful kiss. With such an sweet inerraction there is surely no way that Ivy doesn’t love the hero enough to change her ways, right? It’s a lovely little touch that helps cement the air of romance that she is trying to build around Robin rather than just being a trap where she is eager to give him a kiss.
The Turkish dub also follows suit as she calls Robin her lover, cementing the idea in his head that she and him are practically already a thing as she lures him into her trap. Nothing quite like seducing the hero by making out that you are both already in love.
The second French Dub (The one on the 4K release) has Ivy give a deliciously sly “There you are…” remark that is a scintillating take on just how confident Ivy is about the situation. She prepared her garden, lit the sign and knew it was only a matter of time for the little Robin to arrive while she retreated into the depths of her jungle where she could detain the hero at her leisure, not even disguising her casual expecting of his arrival in the slightest as she regards his appearance in a matter of fact way, clearly and quickly taking command of their “alone time”.

In a similar vein, the Chinese dub has ivy forego the welcome and simply, and expectantly, exclaims "You came..." Before she works her charms to utterly seduce and disarm the hapless hero.
