WHEN ALL HELL'S BREAKIN' LOOSE, YOU'LL BE RIDING THE EYE OF THE STORM!!!Is it weird that my username is Transformers girl and this is actually my first time drawing a full body Optimus? HMM.
SO I GOT THE ORIGINAL TRANSFORMERS MOVIE FOR CHRISTMAS. IT IS MY DRUG. SERIOUSLY. So of course then I bought the soundtrack, and I just went from there.
I fell madly in love with Hotrod. I KNOW, I KNOW, AS A FANGIRL I'M SUPPOSED TO HATE HIM BUT UUUUUUGH :iconemwingsplz:HE'S SO PRETTY. AND EPIC. Don't like Rodimus as much though. He's yucky. STAY YOUNG AND PRETTY FOREVER HOT ROD~

I personally like Rodimus better than Hot Rod. Sure he wasn't the leader that Optimus was but he was trying and he still saved the day ^^ Optimus is better of course obviously xD

I'm possibly the one fan who thinks Rodimus became MORE attractive when he matured. I liked his overall self better as a man than as a boy. Don't get me wrong, Hot Rod was adorable, but he was like a spunky kid.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA INDIVIDUALITY FTW! I agree, he was kind of (read: very) impulsive and child-like, but I love him for unexplainable reasons.

I find a lot of people hate Rodimus for the most ridiculous of reasons. The number one being is that he was the next Prime. To me, he didn't replace Optimus at all. In fact, Roddy accepted he would never be like Optimus and had enough respect to not try to be Optimus. Roddy tried being the best Prime HE could be and to me, that was a sign that the matrix chose well. Besides, no one is naturally good at anything that includes leadership. I'm sure even Optimus had screw ups and was unsure of himself when he was green at being leader. That and Optimus can't be leader forever.
Moreover, despite all the fan hate he gets, Optimus himself likes Rodimus and considers him as his friend. He wasn't bitter all with Rodimus being leader or holding the fort while he was gone. In fact, I got the impression that he was glad Rodimus did that for him. Yes, Optimus rebecame leader, but he left us with the impression that one day, Rodimus would become leader again which Optimus is perfectly cool with. When it comes to the point where Optimus himself is gracious with Rodimus being leader, the fans ought to follow that example.

Optimus and Roddy's relationship is actually very cute. I love Optimus, but that doesn't mean I can love Rodimus too. Consider one fan successfully converted! ^_^

When I see them together, I see a father and son and that's why it sort of breaks my heart a little when I see fans Optimus turned against Rodimus. Rodimus is Optimus' buddy not enemy. I don't even think they're rivals because I often got the impression that Optimus secretly wanted Rodimus to surpass him hence seeing Optimus as being like a dad to Rodimus.
I didn't mean to convert actually! I was just stating my thoughts on the two Primes

I agree wholeheartedly! It's similar to the way the Optimus treats Bumblebee, although Rodimus is obviously much older and more experienced.
