This is a great photo using some pretty subtle techniques to draw the viewer in. The vignetting at the top of the image stops the eye from being lead too high and helps to a achieve a strong focal point at the transition between the detailed hilltops and the vibrant sky. The foreground detail is interesting but again not complicated enough to distract the viewer from the main contrast lines in the photo. Lighting and exposure make a very good use of the landscape available and the colours are striking. It is hard to be original when taking landscape photos but this photo definitely stands out from the pack with it's portrait orientation.
