The incubus, also called "follet" in French, "alp" in German, "incubo" in Spanish, and "folletto" in Italian, was an angel who fell because of lust for women according to many of the Church Fathers. What I love most about your images is that you put a lot of thought and research into them. I really look forward to your descriptions! Your deviations are always about something interesting and I enjoy seeing them! This is just another great piece to add to the pile. I really need to catch up in your gallery
Few tips if that is okay: The ring around his eye, the very outside of the iris I believe, starts out nice and strong along the left, but gets lost beneath the mist within his eye as it curves around to the right. Maybe help that strong curve follow all the way around? Watch the cut off of his iris too, right where his eyelid comes down over his eye a bit. It also is slightly shaded by the mist but it is nothing big.
Next, and this is a dramatic opinion, but the woman is a little bit distracting. I love the perspective of the piece - him up close and she at a distance - but to make that work really well, she needs to be further back and her feet need to be seen. It helps set the depth and not the perched on his shoulder look. He could do perfectly without her as well, but she is a neat detail. Even adding a bit of thickness to her so she is not so much a brush?
