He needs a very special reward for his heroism. He clearly deserves no less than the enchanted Necklace of Missile Affinity*. He will never lack for arrows, bolts, or sling bullets again.
*This item is, in fact, cursed. The wearer attracts any and all thrown, fired, or otherwise launched projectile or item. The previous wearer- a rather annoying fellow- met an untimely end when he chanced to stray too near a crowd of pixies engaged in a javelin throwing tournament.
