This is how the series should have ended. Polnareff sacrifising himself to save Iggy by sending his soul into his Stand the second before his body is destroyed by Vanilla Ice and then unleashing a full barage into the vampire when he tries to kill Iggy and ram him through the wall of the mansion into the sunlight where he is dissolved by the light. Once Vanilla Ice is dead, Silver Chariot offers what energy it has left to Iggy to heal him enough to meet up the Jotaro and the gang again before the Stand crumbles away revealing Polnareff's soul which thanks Iggy for his friendship and tells him that his journey with them is complete and for him to take care of the Joestars before he is joined by the spirit of Avdol, freed from Vanilla Ice's void, and are both led by the spirit of Polnareff's avenged sister to heaven while a distraught Iggy watches before he cries and howls out in anguish. By then end, rather than return to New York, Iggy moves in with Jotaro back to Japan and becomes his partner, even getting a prosthetic paw by Joseph (who has a prosthetic hand) to replace the one he lost while fighting Pet Shop. Both look up at the night sky and reflect on their journey and lost friends before looking at the photo of them together. Iggy would fall asleep, comforted by Jotaro who smiles warmly at his partner.
