BEGINNINGS 1999
I must admit I looked less than completely forward to the work I expected RAMHORN to entail, and though I was able to capture a tiny morsel of his general appearance in the first attempt, following through on it seemed beyond my skill. This was the first week of February and I believe the earliest one shown here was saved over its predecessor, because about a week later, I resolved to give it another crack. Within about 45 minutes, I had the outline and drawn up. Keen eyes will realize I used his TRANSFORMERS: UNIVERSE profile image to aid me in the work. Next, I spent a few more minutes colouring and he was done. For kind of a sorry start, he became one of my favourite efforts at the time.
SECOND WIND 2008
The 2008 version built on that foundation, but was done in more detail and the ultimately garish 1999 colouring was considerably sweetened. Still, I could see that just a little bit more cartoon realism was necessary, so 2009 saw RAMHORN slightly increased in size once again as well as treated to another colour correction. I also discovered that, as with STEELJAW, I had incorrectly coloured his eyes "Autobot Blue." Not only are his eyes white, they even have pupils! There may be one more touch-up in the future, but only to bump him up to proper inter-animalistic scale.
