Description Psittacosaurus lujiatunensis
Named by Zhou Changfu, 2006 (Generic name by Henry Fairfeld Osborn, 1923)
Diet: Herbivore (Browser)
Type: Marginocephalian ceratopsian dinosaur (Psittacosaurid)
Size: 3 to 4 feet (0.9 to 1.2 meters) long and 10 to 20 lb. (For this species)
Region: Asia (Liaoning China for this species)
Age: Early Cretaceous (124.1 to 122.1 million BC; Aptian)
Enemies: Various Yixian Formation theropods such as Dilong, the 30-foot (9-metre) Yutyrannus, Sinornithosaurus, and Zhenyuanlong for both adults and young; youngsters are often attacked and killed by a Virginia oppossom-sized gobiconodontid mammal, Repenomamus robustus (The remains of a baby psittacosaur was found inside the stomach of a Repenomamus, unknown if it hunted and kill the dinosaur, or scavenged on an already dead animal)
Episode: Walking with Dinosaurs: Inside Their World app ( justinseau.files.wordpress.com…)
Info: Since its discovery in the Gobi Desert of Mongolia in the 1920's, more than 400 specimens of this bipedal ceratopsian (with evidence of parental care and growth rates from babies to adults) and 11 species sharing the genus were found in not just Mongolia, but also China, Russia, and perhaps even Thailand, making Psittacosaurus one of the best-known and best-studied dinosaurs of all time, the most species-rich dinosaur genus, and also one of the longest lived dinosaur genus as the remains of it were found in rocks spanning 25 million years, dating back around 125 to 100 million BC in the Aptian-Albian stage of the Early Cretaceous period. In 2001, one specimen of a Psittacosaurus was found from the Yixian Formation in Liaoning, China with preserved quill-like filaments along its tail showing that in life, its tail has quill-like filaments used for display, ward off rival males, and/or perhaps for defence against predators, while 15 years later, another specimen from the same locality was found well-preserved, showing a flap of skinΒ at the back of the hind leg and its true colouration of a dark color and light underside ideal for camouflaging its forested environment, thus giving us a more accurate picture of what this dinosaur was like when it was alive.

Note: Body and colouration based on the latest 2016 evidence of this dinosaur, while head based on the actual head of Psittacosaurus lujiatunensis.

I was asked to either do this species, or P. mongoliensis, but many prefer it for many important discoveries.

I really like how the art style show what dinosaurs would look like in the Walking with Dinosaurs BBC Documentary. You, TrefRex, are full of talent. I do have one question, What software do you use for these artwork?

Can you do 2 different series similar to this one where you remake level 40 Jurassic World: The Game and level 40 Jurassic Park: Builder dinosaurs to make them more accurate?

To be fair, it was mostly the news that blew that "Most Accurate Dinosaur" thing out of proportion. Β Β

In the world of paleontology I don't think you can 100% confirm something.
