Description
Self-portrait.Levels adjusted in Paintshop Pro, smoke added, background painted black. Nothing else was edited. The light is just an ordinary globe in my room.
I was gonna paint it but then I thought it looked cool enough as it is. It's also my Facebook profile picture ;D I think it looks somewhat boxer-esque, don't you?

The lighting on this really is fantastic. You really know how to out do yourself sometimes, hahah. Maybe you've already told me, but I'd love to know how you got that ethereal smokey effect. Was it just lighting on a textured wall?
As much as I like the lighting and posing on its own, what really makes this picture for me is the composition. I love the way you framed it. The way the head is slightly tilted combined with really only lighting the upper left corner is just awesome.

I studied chiaroscuro in art for an assignment, it looks very dynamic in this stance! I like it, especially since it looks "boxer-esque"

Beautiful! Good perspective and lightning, tho a bit too dark... the light doesn't seem to reflect enough on the skin, so some details are lost, it seems... but still, very great contrast and beautiful picture and effect
